See You at the Pole

Today was See You At The Pole. And let me tell you, the one at my school was AMAZING! Even the news came out, though I haven't seen it on TV yet.
We prayed in small groups, and we prayed all together. We sang songs, though I didn't know any of them. But that was OK. I was just happy to be there. It was amazing how many kids showed up. And how no one backed down when passing people looked side ways at us.
Here are just some cool pictures. I don't know any of these people, but I still love these pictures

Women in the Church

I was digging into the Word of God, when I cam across to passages, 1 Corinthians 14:33, and 1 Timothy 2:11-15, both books written by Paul, and both passages marked with a question mark. 1 Corinthians says: "As in all the congations of the saints, women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. If they want to inquire about something, they ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church." 1 Timothy 12:11-15 says: "A woman should learn in quietness and full submission. I do not permit a woman to teach or to teach or to have authority over a man; she must be silent. For Adam was not not deceived; it was the women who was deceived and became a sinner. But women will be saved through childbearing-if they continue in faith, love, and holiness properiely."
the first time I read this, I thought "WHAT IS PAUL THINKING!" But then when I thought over the verses more, I realized that these are not God's words, these are Paul's words, they just happen to be in the Bible, because they just happen to be part of a letter Paul wrote. But women should NOT be silent in a church, we do have a right to preach and teach. And yea, it was Eve, a women, who sinned when she ate the apple, but it Adam also sinned when he took the apple from Eve, so see, it's BOTH of their faults, not just women.
Girls, don't think "Oh I can't be a pastor or youth minister or whatever" or "I can't do anything in the church according to Paul" but you can according to GOD! God calls women to the church-he called Esther to save her people, and Deborah to be a prophetess (Judges 4 and 5). God called Ruth, and Abogail (1 Samuel 25:1-42), and Mary the Mother of Jesus, and Mary Magdiline, and so many more. God STILL uses women today. Who is your favorite singer/band? BarlowGirl, Point of Grace, Rebecca Saint James, Amy Grant are just a couple to name. Their are speakers like Beath Moore. And their are women you know like your Sunday School teacher. So don't get discarge. Listin to what God is calling you too do.

Friday-YES!

It's Friday, and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO happy about that! I have a lot of homework this week, and just feels like I'm always doing school work, it's kind of driving me NUTS! It feels like I have no time to myself, and I have been REALLY stressed lately. Maybe next week won't be so bad. I hope not-any more of this, and I just might exploded, if you know what I mean. Just got to leave it to God, and everything will be all right.

"I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord. "Planes to prosper you, and not to harm you. Plans to give you a hope and a future." Jeremiah 29:11

English paper

I'm supposed to be doing the rough darft of my English paper, but I can't think of an ending, so I'm going to write about radom stuff, as long as I'm writing something, and I might think of an ending. Let's hope I do!
I have a biology test tomorrow. If I still haven't thought of an ending by the time I finish writing this entry, I 'm going to have to leave the paper the way it is, and start studing.
I do not like Biology, though mom said it will get better. But right now I hate it. It's all this cemistry stuff, like atoms and everything like that. Their are all these big words I have no idea what they mean. So, let's just hope I do OK on the test tomorrow. And that I survive studing!
So now, on to english papers, and Biology!

Stress and algebra

Stress and algebra. . . .they always go together. Most people I talk to hate algebra, or at least like to complain about it alot-like myself. Why on earth would you want to combine letters and number together? How will this help us in our future lives? Could someone please tell me that? If it's just making us unbelievably stress, and confused, why do we have it? WHY?????

The Impossible Math

My math homework is nearly impssible! Too many numbers and letters in algebra, how are you supposed to keep up with all of it? And what is amazing is that people do this kind of stuff for a living! How do they do it? I would like to know their secret!
I'm going to a Baylor Universty football game tonight with my dad. Should be fun!
And now it is back to the impossible math!

It's Friday!

It's Friday! Finally! But it stinks-I got homework this weekend, and I hate having homework on weekends. Why do teachers give homework on Friday? Come on, we need a break SOMETIME! So teachers, please stop giving us homework on weekends-their is so much we can take. We deserve a break! Teachers deserve a break! We need to breath sometime!

Studying and brains

Boy, the homework has stickied back! I had to do math-which can take me awhile, since I struggle majorly in math, but today I was doing great on it-studying for a geography test-I'm pretty good on that too-and Science, and I didn't have much left of that.
I have a friend who takes all advance classes (including gemotrermy, and she's a fish!), Chinese School on Sundays, and her parents get mad at her, and ground her if she gets anything lower then a 95. She's been all upset this week cuz she got a 90 on a math test! Not to mention her parents got mad at her for it! I would do anything to get a 90 on a math test! But she acts like it's a bad thing! It's no wounder this girl is staying up till 11:00 P.M. doing her homework, and doesn't have any hobbies outside of video games! This is really unhealthy-I mean, aiming for high As is a good thing, but parents pressuring their kids, which makes them pressure themselves, kills the imagination! How are they supposed to live normal teenage lives when they get all this pressure and stress? I know you want your kids to do well, but parents, remember that we are young here, and can take only certain amounts of stress here!
My next topic is brains. I know this sounds weird but the other night I was thinking that I would really like to study brains. See I'm dyslexic, and I have had some friends who were special needs so I've always wounder what makes a "normal" brain. I mean how do you know which Brain is "normal"? Or does nobody have a "normal" brain. And what makes the right side of my brain (which is your creative side) bigger then the left side (your learning/school side) which makes you dyslexic? Why isn't it the left side bigger then the right? Why is it the right side bigger then the left? And what do you have to have a "normal" brain, if their such a thing? What makes us normal, and what makes us weird, and an outcast? Or are we all weird or all normal? Or are we neither?

Remembering the Heroes

September 11. . . . . . . . . .what a sad day. Can't I believe that it's been so long since it happened. Was it, like 5 years ago? I think it was. . . .I was in 3rd grade at the time. Everyone kept getting pulled out of class, their was only like 5 of us left in class by the end of the day. We never knew why till we got home and our parents told us. . .no one at school told us, no teachers crying like in so many other stories from other students. I wounder why they never told us? Us third grades had a right to know! And even after I somewhat knew what was going on. I never seem to know what really was going on, how serious, and painful it was. I guess I was too young maybe? I don't know. But I understand it now. And it is SO sad. Why do bad things like this?
So everyone, remember the heroes-today, and everyday of the year. Remember what freedom means and the cost of it.

Some may be genius, but we all have gifts and talents

One thing I don't get is why a lot of teachers and educators seem to only encourage kids who are pure genius. And why they make sure a big deal out of I.Q.s-I.Q.s are great for background informatin, but it dosn't matter how big or how little someone's I.Q. is, it's their ability to work hard, and to work well with others. We all have gifts and we all have talents that God gave us to use for His will, for His perfect plan.
I get why that have special classes for those really smart genius kids-that makes sense. But why does They have to call it "Gifted and Talnted"-we all have gifts and talents, and teachers really need to encourage that! Maybe part of the reson kids drop out of school, or don't go to colloge is because they feel like they don't have any talent or gifts when they do! All because they aren't geunis-no that their is nothing wrong with being a genius; ithink that is great and amazing-dosn't me they aren't talnted!
So this is what I think

Pool Party and Serving Lunch

Last night was a birthday for a couple in my church. It was a LOT of fun. I even played 2 games of volleyball-yes, I was acutely been brave enough to do volleyball. I NEVER do this kind of stuff, unless I have to for P.E. Balls have a thing for hitting me in the face. But since the move I have only been hit in the face one time by a volleyball. Doing volleyball has showed me that I do have a pretty good serve.
Today we had a youth lunch fundraiser for our Great Falls Retreat. I got to be a server. Never done it before, and I did do a pretty good job, if I do say so myself. But now I'm really tired, and I'm not looking forward to studying for my math test tomorrow-nor am I looking forward to taking it!

First Blog

OK, this is my first blog, so I'm new to this stuff. I just recently statred high school, and so far I am surviving. Haven't drowned in homework yet. I've liked most of my teachers so far-my favorite teachers are my Math, English, and Drama teachers. They all seem really sharp and know what they are doing. Well, that's all I have to say for today.
