Every Christmas since I was 13 years old (correct me if I'm wrong, but Mary was a teenager when she the angel came to her announcing she was going to have a baby) I've tried to put myself into Mary's shoes, wondering what she was thinking and feeling as she carried the Light of the World, then as what she felt as she held Jesus, her son for the first time.

This Christmas I am wondering the same things. But today I started wondering what it was like after Jesus was born, when He was just a little boy. And like all little boys, Jesus needed a mommy. I've never been a mother before, but as a babysitter who is active in the lives of the children I do babysit, I know what's it like to take care of child, even if it's not on a daily basis. So today I was thinking of how Jesus needed someone to hold Him, love Him, and care for Him, like every child. And like every mother, Mary cared and loved Him. An ordinary girl taking care of an extraordinary boy.

A Poem on Beauty

You need to know
Change is good (really!)
And you are beautiful
And while beauty can mean something different to everyone,
One thing is for certain:
helping others can help you live your most rewarding life.
What does beauty mean to you?

Speak Up!

We all have the power to speak up-and out.
A voice can get a party started, shout down opponents, or lead a country.
So find your voice
Stand up!Stand tall.
Take a chance.
Dream big.
Set goals.
The true you always shines the brightest.

The Way I See It

The way I see it
We're all brocken
With a heart full of dreams
And a pocket full of rocks

The way I see it
God knows best
He gives us a new look on life
A new direction
A beautiful lesson
We are satsified by love

The way I see it
We are moving forward
Because of Him
Even when it rains

The way I see it
The Brightest Light
Is a beauty that last

The way I see it
A tap from God
Is a Father pouring out love and forgivness and love,
And we are changed forever.
The way I see it.

Poems I write

I don't usually write poems, and the ones I do are cheesy. But these two I really like enough to publish. So here they are:
Hey Girls! If you love to dance, get more dance more often.
Give the gift of dance. Dream big. Dream now.
Let your talent shine. Light up the stage.
Dance your dream. Dream big.
Dancing is where passion meets opportunity.
Take center stage.
The curtin ascends, the spotlight in view, passion in motion-the dancer is you.
A star is born.
And this one I actually wrote in speech class (it was an assighment!):
You're amazing!
Believing in yourself is strong.
Achieving what you never believed possible is success.
Dancing to your own drum. That's moving forward.
Smile, and your friends smile back.
Find beauty practically everwhere.
Don't overlook the good. Create something beautiful.
A tower of opportunity.
A whole new world.
My path to inspiration starts now.
The choice is yours. Your future is in your hands.

Life just keep gets even more busier-if that's even possible. Last week I had additions for Senior One Acts, and me and my one of my best friends were totally goofy and my directors laugh by singing the gummy bear song. Then I got called back, but once again I didn't make it. Next time, there is always next time.
Then last Friday I left with my youth group to Highland Lakes for our d-now. And it was amazing! Two other church's joined us. Friday one of the other youth ministers, a guy who used to go to my church before becoming a youth minister, who we fondly call Scuba, lead us in worship. Scuba talked about being bold, and making a stand for a faith. Then we went to our dorms and us girls stayed up really late-long past midnight-talking girl talk over cookie dough. The next morning we had breakfast (which was eatable, which is a miracle), then our quite time, then we took a Spiritual Gifts Survey. My youth minister walked us through that, going into depth about all the gifts you can have. Some of my strongest suites were mercy, encouraging, serving, leadership, and some others I just can't remember right now. Then we had lunch, rec (or "sweating with the oldies", as our youth ministers like to call it), free time, dinner, and worship talking about witnessing lead by the other youth minister. After worship we played hide-and-seak outside in the dark. I'm really good hiding behind trees-I can be really still and quite. After a couple of rounds of Mafia (one of our all time favorite card games), it was time for showers then bed. Of course, it's all ready past midnight after I took my 2nd shower, and taught the girls the gummy bear song. Sunday moring we packed up, left Highland lakes, and got back here in time for morning worship. We were all very tired. Honestly I still am.
This week has been pretty ordinary. Nothing much going on.

Life is Busy

Life has been very busy. From school and keeping up my grades to dance to church to theatre (so far I've been arrested for selling illegal drugs, I ran away to be a gangster, and now I'm pregnant because I'm doing a scene from the movie from Juno). And last week I was on a mission trip for spring break, down in Orange TX, painting a house for an 88-year-old man. Yesterday we went completely goofy, starting with singing "Happy Birthday" to my theatre teacher at the top of our lungs and then running and hiding from my senior director while she was talking to our theatre teacher about something. And then we ended it by singing songs about gummy bears.

I had additions today. I addition for Spring Production at school. I was so excited! It went so well! I feel really good about it. I can't way to see the call back list tomorrow. I know I might not make call back and/or cast, there was a hundred people auditioning, but I can hope I can hope I make it, right?
One of my senior directors told me to addition, and made sure I signed up. I am so glad she did! It was a lot of fun, and a great experience, even if I don't make it. I love theatre! It's so much fun! If haven't had any theatre experience, you have no idea what you are missing!

I'm back!

I love this quote:
Sometimes I'm so sweet even I can't stand it.
-Julie Andrews
I love this because that is me sometimes!
Life has been great since I last wrote. I had Christmas break, I had Christmas, I got my dad's car for Christmas, and last week I scraped the side of it with a sign and scraped it, lost a mirror (it got replaced) and a door handle. We now call it Van Goe because it looked it lost an ear. In theatre we are doing emotinal recall, and everyone is doing some really sad memory. I decided to be the class clown and do when the ceiling tile fell on my last year. When we read our scripts we wrote for the class last week, everyone died laughing. I'm glad I got to make them laugh!
And speaking of funny, this is a funny video from The Muppet Show of Animal-I love Animal, he's my favorite Muppet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Xj0Cqgzq1k&feature=related
