Today in English class, me, and the other two teenagers sitting at my table, started talking about church.
They have food at their church. They have parties on Sunday, and Cristian music turned up loud, so you can sing along at the top of your lungs.
My youth group doesn't have parties every Sunday (though we do have pizza every Sunday). We don't have music turned up real loud for you to sing at the top of your lungs (though we do have music-and some where written by one of my fellow teenagers himself). Yea, where in our church's fellowship hall, because the youth wing is being built right now.
But let me tell you about the people of my youth group-no, not the stuff we have, not the food we eat, not the music we listen to. The people.
Their is one who is the leader of our praise band. He plays the guitar, and sings with his heart wide open. You can tell his one desire is to be closer to God. He writes his own music, and sometimes blesses us by sharing it with us.
Their is one girl is a Spiritual Giant, even though she is smaller then most Freshman. She seeks God with an open heart, and seeks Him with everything she does. Jesus shines in her where ever she goes.
Another girl is a leader of the group (along with the two teenagers described above). She speaks the word of God with her words, and actions. She is my role-model and mentor. She has helped me eased into my new youth group, when I wasn't sure about what I should do.
My youth minster thinks of fun games, and creative ways at looking at things. He is serious about his faith, willing to stand up for God no matter what happened. He helps us with our struggles, gives us advice when this path where on, this Journey with God, gets rough, and we're not sure if where going to make it through.
These are a just a couple of people I could tell you about. As a whole, this youth group is after God's own heart. I see the love of God in them, shining back at me every Sunday morning, Sunday night, and Wed. night. I see them go through struggles, but still trusting God all the way.
I am very blessed to have such amazing youth group. I pray to God that He will bless each and every one of them for the rest of their days.

It's COLD!
I can't belevie h0w cold it is! Where I used to live, it would still be hot and humid! But it's cold now! It's REALLY cold in the morning, but it warms up during the afternoon. Here's the worst part:my school's hallways don't have a heater (I guess to save money. But I really have no idea). So you have to make sure you have your sweatshirt when you go to school, otherwise you'll freeze before you get to class!

What's up
Boy! What a week! But I servived the homework, and the stress, so I'm thankful about that, and I will no go on and on about it!
Yesterday all the fish had to take the Practice PSAT test. It was hard, but that is OK-it was only practice. And my test teacher was my wonderful english teacher who is my favorite teacher.
Nothing much going on. Am looking forward to the weekend-and tomorrow, Friday! My favorite day of the week!

Homework
I know homework is there to help us learn and grow. And it does. But it doesn't always. When teachers keep piling it up, especially on Fridays, it doesn't help at all. It just puts pressure on us, making life stressful.
Take today for example. I went to to my 2nd period class. My teacher was constly giving us homework. Make a table for this, make a table for this, answer these questions for homework. In math we got homework-though I'm not complaing about math, because it is difficult, and it's good practice so I can get better-, and then I have to finish an English project, all of these things due on Monday.
Teachers, please remember we are only teenagers here! I'm not telling you not to give us homework, but don't always give us alot all the time. We do have other classes and other teachers who give us homework, who also except us to turn it in on time, and do it right the first time. And weekends. We need sometime to not be doing homework, not to be stressed, just two full days too to take a break.
I'm not criticizing teachers here-I acutely want to be one when I grow up. I'm just saying there is more to life then homework. Maybe if there isn't so much homework, we can expand our imagination by doing things that interested us-like playing sports, being part of a play/musical, playing a musical instrument. But where never going to be able to this if homework is running our lives!

Odds and Ends
Nothing much to write about. Got up, went to school, come home, go to my guitar lesson, do my homework, just the same old stuff. Nothing exciting-except for the fact that this week is spirt week, an my geography teacher was wearing pig tales, and trust me, she isn't the kind of person who needs to be wearing pig tales. Not that I'm calling her ugly-I'm not. She just don't look great in pig tails.
So that is my terribly exciting day.

Amazing weekends
I had one of the most amazing weekends ever! I went back to my "hometown" (I don't know exactly where my hometown is-is where I was born, or where I grew up?) and saw almost all my old friends. It was so much fun running around giving people hugs, and watch their eyes grow big with surprise when they see my running up to them with my arms wide open!
I got to got to the best hotdoge, and Mexican place in the whole wide world. I got to to drive by my dance studio that I went to when I still lived there (it makes me happy to see it, but sad because I can no longer go their!).
So that was the summery of fantastic weekend!

It has been along time since I have written. That makes me sad. =(
It has been a LONG WEEK, with a LONG WEEKEND. This past weekend I went on the Great Falls Retreat (or H-E-B camp-the food was GREAT!). We left on Friday, got there late, had to wake up at 7:00 saterday morning. Alsowme day, though I did NOT want to Rec-I was REALLY REALLLY TIRED, and I was not feeling to great. But I survied.
Amzing band, amazing speaker, an amazing youth group. Now let me tell you, my youth group is truly after God's own heart-something that you don't find just anywere. They are truly children of God-adults including. I have met some amazing adults at my church. Some truly strong people.
This week is 6th weeks test-blah! But it's Thursday-God has gotten me this far, He will get me through one more day.
